About this Position
SportSpired Games is looking for a Cinematic Artist to create high-quality real-time cinematics for our next-generation AAA sports simulator.
In this role, you will bring cinematic moments to life in Unreal Engine 5, working across camera, composition, lighting, character performance, and editing. You will collaborate closely with animators, game designers, and other disciplines to create compelling sequences that integrate naturally with gameplay.
SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY.GAMES, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft, and EA Sports. We are currently working on a large-scale AAA title planned for release in 2028–2029.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement high-quality real-time cinematics for a sports simulation game
- Stage and assemble cinematic sequences, including camera work, composition, lighting, environments, character posing, facial expressions, and performance
- Edit and sequence cinematic content using Unreal Engine 5 Sequencer
- Integrate and refine Motion Capture data for in-engine cinematics
- Adapt narrative and sports-specific moments to ensure seamless transitions between cinematics and gameplay
- Collaborate with Game Designers, Animators, Audio, and other disciplines throughout production
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the cinematic pipeline in Unreal Engine 5
- Review in-game results and iterate on scenes to improve pacing, readability, and overall cinematic quality
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Cinematic Artist or in a similar role within the game industry
- Strong understanding of real-time cinematic production, including camera language, shot composition, pacing, lighting, and animation
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and Sequencer
- Experience creating both directed cinematic sequences and dynamic action-focused scenes
- Understanding of character performance and Motion Capture workflows
- Strong visual storytelling skills and ability to translate creative direction into compelling in-engine sequences
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with Animators, Designers, Programmers, Audio, and other disciplines
- Ability to make creative decisions, iterate quickly, and maintain a high visual quality bar
