About this Position
SportSpired Games is looking for a Lead BI Analyst to define and scale our analytics function for a next-generation AAA sports simulator. In this role, you will shape the company’s data strategy, build a strong analytics team, and drive data-informed decision-making across product, marketing, and business functions.
SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY.GAMES, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft, and EA Sports. We are currently working on a large-scale AAA title planned for release in 2028–2029.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision and roadmap for the analytics function, building a unified system of metrics from player behavior to business performance
- Hire, mentor, and grow a team of analysts, establishing processes, prioritization frameworks, and a strong data culture
- Design and evolve the company’s data infrastructure in collaboration with data engineering, including data warehouse, event tracking, and data pipelines, while enabling self-service data access
- Build scalable processes for analyzing player behavior (retention, engagement, monetization, feature impact) and generate actionable insights for product and game design teams
- Develop and enhance the company’s BI systems, from product metrics dashboards to P&L reporting, and deliver regular insights to business stakeholders
- Analyze markets, regions, and player segments to support product launches and geographic expansion strategies
- Establish and improve experimentation practices, including A/B testing, playtesting, and UX research, ensuring statistical rigor and clear interpretation of results
- Drive a data-driven culture through education, standardization of metrics, and implementation of self-service tools
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, User Acquisition, Finance, and game teams to translate business challenges into analytical solutions
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science
- Proven experience building or scaling analytics functions and teams
- Hands-on experience in the gaming industry or digital products, preferably in live-service environments
- Deep understanding of product analytics, including retention, LTV, monetization, and funnel analysis
- Experience building BI systems, metrics frameworks, and business reporting
- Practical experience designing and running experiments, including A/B tests, playtests, and UX research
- Experience working with data infrastructure (data warehouses, event tracking, data pipelines) at the level of defining requirements and collaborating with engineering teams
- Strong communication skills and experience working with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when needed
