About this Position


We are looking for a Lead VFX Artist to define and elevate the visual effects of our next-generation sports title. If you’re passionate about crafting high-quality real-time and pre-rendered effects, building efficient pipelines, and leading a talented team - we’d love to meet you.

SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY·GAMES, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft and EA Sports. We’re building an ambitious AAA title slated for release in 2028-2029.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a team of visual effects artists, assigning tasks, and monitoring deadlines.
  • Training and developing the team's skills, ensuring their motivation and productivity.
  • Developing and implementing high-quality in-game and pre-rendered visual effects for an action game, ensuring modern cinematic quality.
  • Working on visual effects that meet the requirements of the game process, mechanics, performance, and visual style.
  • Assisting in the development of visual effects for the marketing and UI departments.
  • Participating in the development and improvement of the visual effects pipeline and related processes, including the optimization of processes and tools.
  • Interacting with technical, UI, lighting, cinematics artists, designers, and other team members to ensure consistency in the creation of visual effects.
  • Continuously monitoring the quality of visual effects, conducting testing, and making necessary adjustments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry as a visual effects artist, including team management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of UE5 and its VFX pipelines.
  • Strong portfolio with examples of in-game photorealistic visual effects.
  • Deep knowledge of composition, understanding of lighting principles, and game design of visual effects.
  • Knowledge of modern pipelines for creating high-quality and realistic in-game and pre-rendered visual effects.
  • Proficiency in software for creating high-quality in-game and pre-rendered visual effects, such as Houdini, Maya, Blender, Photoshop, Nuke, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with other team members, including artists, programmers, designers, and managers.
