About this Position

We are looking for a Senior Environment 3D Artist to help create immersive, photorealistic in-game locations for our next-generation AAA sports simulator. In this role, you will be responsible for building high-quality environments that meet artistic vision, gameplay requirements, and performance constraints.

SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY·GAMES, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft and EA Sports. We’re building an ambitious AAA title slated for release in 2028-2029.

Responsibilities

  • Create photorealistic in-game 3D environments and related content in accordance with production guidelines, gameplay mechanics, and performance requirements
  • Execute the full asset production pipeline for environment assets, including both organic and hard-surface elements
  • Create high-quality photorealistic textures for PBR materials
  • Assemble and dress game locations to achieve a cohesive and believable visual result
  • Collaborate with the Environment Art Lead and other environment artists during planning and production of game locations
  • Participate in improving and optimizing the environment art pipeline, tools, and workflows
  • Work closely with technical artists, concept artists, and other team members to ensure visual and technical consistency
  • Provide technical support, expertise, and problem-solving throughout all stages of production
  • Participate in discussions and decision-making aimed at improving content quality and gameplay experience
  • Perform continuous quality control of created environments, including testing and implementing necessary improvements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the game industry as an Environment Artist
  • Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 and a solid understanding of its capabilities and limitations
  • A strong portfolio showcasing photorealistic in-game environments and/or models, materials, and textures
  • Solid knowledge of composition, lighting principles, and game level design fundamentals
  • Experience with modern pipelines for creating realistic game environments, including organic and hard-surface assets, vegetation, textures, materials, and modular assets
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, or equivalent software
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with managers, artists, and designers
  • Ability to plan work efficiently, meet deadlines, and proactively communicate any changes to task timelines
