About this Position

We are looking for a Senior UI Artist to take a key role in shaping the user interface of our next-generation sports title. This position combines hands-on UI creation with ownership over quality, pipelines, and cross-team collaboration.

SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY·GAMES, The Walt Disney Company, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft and EA Sports. We’re building an ambitious AAA title slated for release in 2028-2029.

Responsibilities

  • Working on complex tasks, distributing tasks within the team, and monitoring deadlines
  • Participating in the development and improvement of pipelines for creating interfaces, optimizing processes and tools to increase team efficiency.
  • Support and implement solutions for integrating UI assets into the engine with performance in mind.
  • Define and create the visual style of game interfaces, ensuring they are consistent with the art style of the project.
  • Develop animations and visual effects for the UI to make the interface look modern and attractive.
  • Implementation of layouts in the UE5.
  • Interaction with UX designers, technical artists, programmers, and other departments to ensure consistency of UI and UX solutions with game mechanics and visual style.
  • Continuously monitor interface quality, conduct testing to identify UI and UX issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Gather feedback from the team and players, improve UI and UX based on data analysis and opinions from the dev team and users.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience working in the gaming industry as a UI artist and understanding of AAA product quality requirements.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine 5 and understanding its capabilities and limitations.
  • Understanding of UX design principles and what ensures high-quality player interaction with the game.
  • Ability to design pipelines or adapt existing ones for specific tasks.
  • Ability to create and edit UI animations.
  • Willingness to use new tools to solve current tasks.
  • Confident use of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar for creating UI and working with interface layouts, prototypes, and graphic elements.
  • Confident use of animation and visual effects tools that are often used for interfaces, such as After Effects.
  • Experience creating and presenting interactive prototypes in Figma.
  • Experience working in UE5.
  • Communication skills for intra-team and cross-departmental interaction. Ability to describe UI requirements to developers, managers, etc.

Nice to have

  • Participation in a released AAA project.
  • Experience with UX research and user data analysis to improve the interface.
  • Knowledge of coding basics for better interaction with developers.
  • Experience with 3D.
