About this Position
SportSpired Games is looking for a Sports Licensing Global Business Development Manager to develop strategic partnerships and secure sports licensing opportunities for our next-generation AAA sports simulator.
In this role, you will work with sports organizations, leagues, federations, player associations, brands, rights holders, and licensing agencies worldwide. You will own the full partnership lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and leading negotiations to closing deals and managing long-term relationships.
SportSpired Games is an international game studio developing next-generation sports simulators. Our team includes professionals with experience at Wargaming, MY.GAMES, Ubisoft, 343 Industries, Starbreeze, Sperasoft, and EA Sports. We are currently working on a large-scale AAA title planned for release in 2028–2029.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the global sports licensing strategy aligned with the company's long-term product and business goals
- Identify and develop partnerships with sports organizations, leagues, federations, player associations, brands, rights holders, and licensing agencies worldwide
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective licensing partners
- Lead commercial negotiations covering financial, legal, and operational terms
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, deal structures, and financial models
- Manage the full lifecycle of licensing deals, from initial outreach and opportunity assessment through contract execution and ongoing partnership management
- Track contractual commitments, licensing rights, deliverables, and partner obligations
- Coordinate licensing initiatives across Legal, Product, Art, Production, Marketing, and Publishing teams
- Monitor the global sports licensing landscape, competitors, industry trends, and new business opportunities
- Represent the company at international industry events, conferences, and business meetings
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sports licensing, business development, strategic partnerships, or international sales
- Proven experience negotiating and closing international commercial agreements
- Strong understanding of the global sports ecosystem, sports licensing, intellectual property, and rights management
- Experience working with sports organizations, leagues, federations, player associations, sports brands, rights holders, or licensing agencies is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of international contracting processes and experience partnering with Legal teams
- Experience preparing commercial proposals, presentations, and financial models
- Ability to manage multiple international partnerships and negotiations simultaneously
- Excellent negotiation, business communication, and relationship management skills
- Fluent English (C1 or higher); additional languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

- Established network within the international sports licensing industry
- Experience managing complex multi-territory or global licensing agreements
- Understanding of the PC and Console gaming market
